All UAV operators are governed by limitations for both height and distance. The maximum legal height from ground is 400ft (120m) and a maximum distance from the operator of 500m. We are required to keep the drone within VLOS (visual line of sight) at all times. The batteries allow approx 20-25 minutes of flight time.
-
We can fly indoors, which is a little trickier and would require us to place propeller guards onto the drone so it doesnt hit a wall and would just ‘boune’ off but in most cases an FPV drone would suit indoor flights better.
